Opening for Application as Research Fellow and Research Associate Positions at HBRC-UM 2025

We are pleased to announce the opening of Research Fellow and Research Associate position at our centre.

Below are the details of the vacancies:

Requirement for Research Associate:

• Must be a researcher (citizen or non-citizen) who is conducting sabbatical leave at UM; or 
• Must be a former academic staff member (citizen or non-citizen) who intends to conduct research at UM.

Requirement for Research Fellow:

• Have obtained a PhD degree (Exception may be given if the expertise/field is very necessary and there is a shortage of PhD candidates in the field)
• Must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Social Science Stream has published at least 3 ISI Publications or 5 SCOPUS.

*The Following Number Of SCOPUS Publications with ISI according to the formula standardized:

3 ISI *1.5= 4.5 SCOPUS (rounded to 5)

Prioritized Fields of Research

Research projects should be related to Humanistic Buddhism from the following field of study:

• Literature
• History
• Culture
• Society
• Education
• Science and Technology

Proposal

Potential applicants are to submit research proposals based on the following specifications:

• Background to Research
• Research Questions
• Research Objectives
• Literature Review
• Methodology
• Deliverables
• Gantt Chart

Duration of Appointment

Project should be for a duration of no more than three years (36 Months).

Visitor (not under the JPA employment scheme)
